A college function in Maharashtra became tragic when a 20-year-old student, Varsha Kharat, fainted while giving a speech and subsequently died due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
The accident happened at Maharshi Guruvarya Shinde Mahavidyalaya in Dharashiv city's Pranda region. Indian media reports that Varsha was confidently reciting to the audience in Marathi, smiling and waving to people when her voice started to fade. Then, abruptly, she fell on stage.
Attendees rushed forward to help and immediately transported her to a nearby hospital, where doctors sadly declared her dead. A video of the heart-wrenching moment has gone viral on social media, showing the exact moment she fell, leaving the audience in shock.
While the date of the incident remains to be verified, the tragedy has evoked a heart-wrenching reaction throughout the region, as many grieve the loss of a promising young life.
This is not the first such incident in recent times. In Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district, a similar heart-wrenching episode occurred during a couple’s 25th wedding anniversary celebration.
