PSL 2025 Commentary Panel

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally released the commentary panel for the next HBL Pakistan Super League X, which begins on April 11 and concludes on May 18 in four cities — Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

For the first time in the history of the league, the Urdu-speaking audience will be able to experience full live commentary during the tournament — a step forward that seeks to engage further with local support.

The commentary team is packed with legendary names from both international and Pakistani cricket. Making her PSL debut, Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar will join the commentary box alongside England’s former captain Sir Alastair Cook and Pakistan’s very own Wasim Akram. Other international voices include Mark Nicholas, Dominic Cork, JP Duminy, Mike Haysman, Martin Guptill, and Athar Ali Khan.

From Pakistan, the panel features four former national captains — Ramiz Raja, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Aamir Sohail. They will be joined by Bazid Khan, Urooj Mumtaz, and seasoned cricket analyst Sikandar Bakht.

In a landmark addition, PSL X will offer an exclusive Urdu commentary stream. This separate feed will be delivered by well-known voices such as Tariq Saeed, Ali Younis, Aqeel Samar, Marina Iqbal, and Salman Butt. Popular presenters Erin Holland and Zainab Abbas will also be a part of the on-ground hosting team.

Shoaib Nasir, the CEO of PSL, called it a historic moment, stating that cricket is a unifying force in Pakistan, and bringing matches to life in the national language will make the PSL experience even more inclusive. “We’re thrilled to introduce a full Urdu commentary feed. This initiative brings PSL closer to the hearts of millions and ensures the passion of the game reaches even more fans across the country,” he added.
