Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif is set to leave for London on April 12 for medical treatment, following his physician’s advice.

According to party sources, Nawaz Sharif’s personal doctor, Dr. Adnan, conducted a thorough medical check-up recently and recommended that the former prime minister seek further treatment in London.

This tour follows a temporary postponement of his visit because of health issues, as he was previously discouraged by doctors from traveling abroad last month.

But his condition is now said to be stable enough for him to travel. In his two-week visit to London, Nawaz Sharif will also speak to the Pakistani community living there.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will also be visiting London with her father. In a connected development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to arrive in London on April 11, after coming directly from his Belarus visit, further suggesting high-level political negotiations between the Sharif family.
