COAS celebrates eid with troops in South Waziristan and DI Khan

ISPR COAS Asim Munir Eid Pakistan Army

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with troops stationed at Wana in South Waziristan and Chahkan in Dera Ismail Khan, reaffirming his support for the soldiers securing Pakistan’s western border.

He joined the troops for Eid prayers and prayed for the country's lasting peace, stability, and prosperity.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Asim Munir extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the soldiers and commended their unwavering dedication and national service. Addressing the troops, he praised their hard work and resilience, emphasising that their commitment not only ensures the country’s security but also reflects their deep devotion to Pakistan.

The Army Chief also acknowledged the sacrifices and steadfastness of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the armed forces, and law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism. He highlighted that Pakistan’s ongoing success in maintaining peace is a result of the relentless efforts and sacrifices of the brave personnel who have laid down their lives for the nation’s stability.

Earlier, upon his arrival, General Asim Munir was warmly received by the Corps Commander Peshawar, marking the beginning of his visit to the frontline troops.
