Prominent Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has landed in legal trouble after a case was registered against him at Lahore’s Nishtar Colony Police Station under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and blasphemy-related sections 295-A and 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code. The allegations claim that his statements hurt religious sentiments, sparking widespread debate.
Following the controversy, Rajab Butt traveled to Makkah for Umrah, where he filmed a video in front of the Kaaba, clad in Ihram, seeking public forgiveness. This move led several fellow YouTubers to support him, arguing that he was being falsely accused.
Famous YouTuber Ducky Bhai defended Rajab Butt, stating that he never made anti-Islamic remarks and that the accusations against him were fabricated. He criticized those spreading rumors that Butt had fled the country and slammed the "fake religious card" being used against him.
Ducky Bhai strongly condemned the online campaign calling for Rajab Butt’s murder, saying that such actions contradict Islamic teachings. He urged people to embrace tolerance and not ruin someone’s life over baseless allegations.
In his video message from the Kaaba, Rajab Butt emotionally declared, “My life, wealth, parents, children, and every drop of my blood are devoted to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). I swear that I never intentionally committed any wrongdoing.” He once again apologized, pleading with the public to forgive him, emphasizing that any mistake he made was unintentional.
Rajab Butt also called upon religious scholars, the Punjab government, and the Pakistan Army to review his case and ensure justice. He argued that the charges against him were fabricated, stating that his "false 295 allegation" was manipulated to portray him as guilty.
