OGRA announces massive LPG price hike

New LPG Price in Pakistan April 2025

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, issuing an official notification for the revised rates. The new prices will come into effect from April 1, forcing both household and commercial consumers to pay more for LPG.

According to the notification, LPG prices have been increased by 54 paisas per kilogram, bringing the new price to Rs 248.37 per kg. This means that from April 1, consumers will have to bear the additional cost of using LPG in their homes and businesses.

For the month of April, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has also gone up by Rs 6.40, setting the new price at Rs 2,930.71. In contrast, the price for March was Rs 2,924.31 per cylinder. The increase, though seemingly small, adds to the financial burden on consumers who are already struggling with high inflation and rising utility costs.

This price hike follows a series of fluctuations in LPG rates over the past few months.
