Terrorism can only be defeated through military operations: Rana Sanaullah

Terrorism Can Be Defeated Through Military Operations Rana Sanaullah

Adviser to the Prime Minister and senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader, Rana Sanaullah Khan, has said that military operations are the only practical solution to terrorism.

He stated that terrorist elements, backed by forces in Afghanistan, India’s intelligence agency RAW, and Indian agents, are actively working against Pakistan. He assured that decisive action against terrorists is ongoing and will continue without compromise.

Speaking to the media in Faisalabad after Eid prayers, Rana Sanaullah paid tribute to the martyrs, emphasising that their sacrifices have allowed the nation to celebrate Eid peacefully. He called the families of martyrs the true benefactors of the country, acknowledging that Pakistan’s stability is built on their sacrifices.

The adviser on interior affairs stressed that the nation has made a firm decision not to tolerate terrorism in any form. He declared that the killing of innocent citizens is unacceptable and warned that those who sympathise with terrorists will also not be spared.

On the economic front, Rana Sanaullah highlighted that Pakistan is recovering from its financial crisis, with major institutions reporting positive economic indicators. He claimed that inflation has declined and the living conditions of common people will improve in the coming months. He also mentioned that the Punjab government has introduced several relief measures to ease financial hardships and reaffirmed that the PML-N believes in politics of public service, unlike those who promote hatred.

Discussing infrastructure projects, he stated that the Lahore-Multan Motorway via Satiana Road will be completed within this year at Rs 10 billion. He also mentioned that projects like Metro and IT City are progressing rapidly.

Reiterating the government’s firm stance against terrorism, Rana Sanaullah said that the state will engage in dialogue only with those who respect the Constitution and show no inclination towards terrorist sympathies. Referring to Mahrang Baloch, he clarified that the government does not label her a terrorist but expects her to unequivocally condemn terrorist acts.

Commenting on political developments, he revealed that discussions with allies regarding an All Parties Conference (APC) are underway. He criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for not attending the National Security Committee meeting, adding that the government is willing to sit with credible media organisations to address press concerns.

He also defended the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), arguing that it is essential to combat the misuse of social media, which is being used to destroy people’s lives. He expressed openness to dialogue with journalist associations and hinted that local government elections could be held later this year.
