President Asif Ali Zardari has tested positive for COVID-19, his personal physician, Dr. Asim Hussain, confirmed on Tuesday.

Following the diagnosis, doctors have advised the president to remain in strict isolation, where he is being closely monitored by a team of expert medical professionals.

According to Dr. Hussain, Zardari’s condition is stable, and he is showing signs of improvement.

Sources indicate that President Zardari was admitted to a private hospital in Clifton, Karachi, late Monday night after experiencing symptoms of fever, fatigue, and an infection.

His health condition prompted immediate medical tests, after which doctors recommended hospitalization as a precautionary measure. Reports suggest that Zardari had been feeling unwell for the past few days but continued with his routine work until his condition worsened.

Amid circulating rumors regarding his health, Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon addressed the media, denying reports that the president is being transferred to Dubai for treatment.

“Such claims are baseless and misleading,” he asserted. “The president’s health is improving, and he is receiving the best possible medical care in Pakistan.” Memon urged the public and media to rely on verified information rather than speculation.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally reached out to President Zardari via phone to inquire about his health. Expressing his best wishes, the prime minister assured the full support of the government and stated, “The entire nation is praying for your swift recovery.
