The Malik Feroze Khan Noon Business School at the University of Sargodha (UOS) held its second annual CEO Forum and Product Exhibition, bringing together innovation, entrepreneurship, and thought leadership under one roof.
The event, inaugurated by UOS Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, drew participation from 18 leading CEOs across Pakistan, all eager to share their experiences and insights with the students. The exhibition showcased 32 cutting-edge business ideas and prototypes developed by students, demonstrating their creative thinking and practical business skills.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Farukh Shahbaz Warraich, senior anchorperson at Aik News, who spoke during the panel session titled \"Future Graduate Skills for the Job Market.\" Warraich encouraged students to embrace e-commerce and digital media as powerful tools to launch and scale their startups.
“Confidence and creativity go hand in hand. With the power of e-commerce and media, today’s students can become tomorrow’s job creators,” he emphasized.
Warraich also stressed the importance of using digital platforms to enhance product visibility and boost sales, urging young entrepreneurs to harness the power of media, marketing, and storytelling in today’s competitive business world.
The student exhibition featured a wide variety of startup concepts, including tech prototypes, lifestyle products, and innovative service models—each reflecting the students’ deep understanding of the job market, entrepreneurial trends, and classroom-to-market application.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, in his keynote, shed light on the need for stronger academia-industry collaboration in Pakistan. “Around the world, universities and industries work closely together to shape future talent. It’s time we bridge that gap in our country,” he remarked.
Dr. Abbas also launched the Business Case Study Journal, making Noon Business School the third institution in Pakistan to initiate such an academic resource to link real-world business challenges with student learning.
Prominent academic figures including Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan and Prof. Dr. Irfan Shehzad also attended the forum, contributing to discussions on how to better prepare students for the evolving demands of the job market.
