Former Pakistan Test head coach Jason Gillespie has publicly criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for failing to clear his dues—four months after he resigned from the post.

In an exclusive chat with a local digital outlet, Gillespie shared his frustration over the prolonged delay, saying, “It’s disheartening. I served the role with full commitment, and it’s unfortunate that the dues are still pending.”

Gillespie, who took charge of the Pakistan Test team in April 2024 and later handled the ODI side after Gary Kirsten’s sudden departure, said internal turmoil within the PCB played a big role in his decision to step down in December.

“One of the major issues was the lack of consultation. For instance, the decision to appoint Mohammad Rizwan as captain came without any discussion. Moves like this disrupted team unity,” said the former Australian pacer.

Reflecting on his short stint, Gillespie didn’t hold back: “Pakistan cricket appears to be caught in a cycle of poor planning and unpredictable leadership.”

Since his departure, Aqib Javed stepped in as interim coach but couldn't steer the team to consistent success. In response, PCB has now opened applications for the role, seeking a fresh start with a permanent appointment.
