In a high-stakes escalation of hostilities, the Pakistan Army has delivered a devastating counterblow to India’s unprovoked aggression along the Line of Control (LoC).
The Indian headquarters in Pandu sector was destroyed, while Nanga Tik Battalion HQ sustained heavy damage, confirmed official sources within the Pakistani military.
The retaliatory strike came after India launched multiple attacks using drones, missiles, and cross-border shelling, aiming to provoke Pakistan. In response, Pakistan’s defense triad – Army, Navy, and Air Force – went on red alert, signaling the seriousness of the situation.
According to DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, India fired four missiles from Adampur Air Base, one of which malfunctioned and crashed in Amritsar, causing panic among Indian civilians. Two missiles crossed into Pakistani territory – one was intercepted and destroyed over Dinga, and its debris has been sent for forensic analysis. The origin, serial number, and guidance system of the missile are being examined to present concrete evidence to the international community.
“India is playing with fire and risking regional peace. Its own missile hit its soil. Yet they are trying to create a false narrative,” said Gen. Chaudhry in a joint press briefing with Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
The most alarming revelation came from Dar, who disclosed that India attempted to target the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium during a live PSL match. "Had this attack succeeded, there could have been mass casualties, including foreign players," he said, labeling it a direct attack on civilians and international guests.
Over the last 48 hours, Pakistan has:
- Shot down 29 Indian drones, including surveillance and combat UAVs.
- Downed 5 Indian fighter jets that violated Pakistan’s airspace or were deployed aggressively near sensitive sectors.
- Responded with precision strikes on Indian military positions at the LoC, especially targeting command centers and logistical points.
Out of the 29 drones, 28 were neutralised mid-air with no damage. One drone exploded near a sensitive military site, injuring four Pakistani soldiers, but causing no structural damage, per military officials.
“Let it be clear: Pakistan does not seek war, but if war is imposed, we will respond with full capability. The responsibility of escalation lies solely with India,” Gen. Chaudhry emphasized.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has taken the matter to international forums, with diplomatic efforts underway at the UN, OIC, and through backchannel diplomacy with China, Turkey, and other regional powers. Islamabad has shared missile debris, radar logs, and video evidence of drone intrusions with selected foreign embassies.
In a stern warning, DG ISPR said, “If India dares to cross the red line again, the response will be bigger and irreversible.” Pakistan’s armed forces remain on high alert along the eastern border, the LoC, and key military installations across the country.
