Operation Bunyan-un-Marsus: 5. BrahMos sites, airbases in India face heavy damage in counter-strike

Following India’s attack on Pakistani bases including Nur Khan Air Base, Mureed Base in Chakwal and the Shorkot base, Pakistani armed forces on Saturday launched a major retaliatory offensive “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsus” against New Delhi’s aggression targeting at least 10 high-value targets and inflicting massive damage to the nuclear-arch rival India.

As per the security sources, Pakistan conducted counter-attack against India on hard military targets, as at least three 'Fatah 2' missiles have been fired at Indian targets. The Pakistan military targeted multiple targets all across completely destroying India’s BrahMos missile storage site in Beas, airfields in Udhampur, Adampur, Suratgarh, Sirsa, Bathinda, Akhnoor, Halwara and Pathankot.

“We have targeted all the bases from where Pakistan was attacked and the most damage so far has been done by the 'Fatah 2' missile,” said security sources.

According to the Indian media, a senior Indian administrative officer has been killed in Rajouri in the ongoing attacks. Moreover, Indian artillery gun position Dehrangyari has been destroyed, as well as the BrahMos storage site Nagrota in India-held Kashmir with heavy losses reported.

The Indian media has admitted that Pakistan targeted 26 locations in India. Meanwhile, Pakistani drones are reported to have reached New Delhi and are flying over the Indian capital. One drone is also said to have hit the Indian city of Ferozepur.

Additionally, Pakistan's political and military leadership has taken an important decision that the country will give a categorical response to any further Indian action to Pakistani response. It says if India commits further aggression, its high-value economic targets will be hit.

"If India moves, the consequences will be serious," warns Pakistan's political and military leadership.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s airspace will remain closed to all types of flights until 12 noon today, following recent Indian aggression, according to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Airports Authority.

The flight schedule at Islamabad Airport has been disrupted after a recent attack in Rawalpindi. Departures of both national and private airline flights from Islamabad Airport have been delayed. Neither flight departed at the scheduled time after the completion of passenger check-in.

This action comes minutes after multiple explosions were heard in Rawalpindi and Lahore on Friday night.

Two blasts were heard in Rawalpindi. The one in Pindi was heard near the Nur Khan Airbase in Chaklala. Police have cordoned off the area, while rescue teams have also reached the spot.

Security sources say the attempted Indian attack near Chaklala's Nur Khan Airbase has been foiled.

In a hurriedly called news conference on Friday night, ISPR chief Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry explained that India fired missiles from air to ground, targeting Nur Khan Air Base, Mureed Base in Chakwal and the Shorkot base.

"However, all assets of the Pakistan Air Force are safe, as most of the missiles were intercepted by Pakistan's air defence system, and the ones that fell on the ground did not cause any loss," the DG assured. "Now you wait for our response."
