SURAB: A vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) explosion in Surab has exposed preparations by terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan, resulting in the deaths of eight terrorists and injuries to several others following the premature detonation of the explosives.

The incident also caused civilian casualties after explosives stockpiled by the terrorists detonated, killing three nearby civilians. The loss of civilian lives highlights the indiscriminate threat posed by terrorist networks operating in populated areas and the risks their activities pose to local communities.

Following the explosion, security forces, in coordination with the Balochistan Police, launched a joint clearance operation. During the ensuing exchange of fire, 10 more fleeing terrorists were neutralized, bringing the total number of terrorists killed in the operation to 18.

The incident has once again highlighted the threat posed by foreign-sponsored and supported terrorist networks, whose activities not only target security forces but also put local civilians at grave risk through the storage and preparation of explosives in populated areas.

Sanitization operations are continuing in the area to locate and eliminate any remaining terrorists and dismantle their support, facilitation and logistical networks.
