Aik News:Security forces in Islamabad claimed to have prevented a major terror attack after arresting a young woman allegedly prepared for a suicide bombing. The suspect, Khair-un-Nisa, said she was forced and blackmailed by militants linked to the BLA to take part in extremist activities.
A disturbing case of militant recruitment and brainwashing of young women has emerged after the arrest of Khair-un-Nisa, a resident of Turbat. According to officials, she confessed that members of the BLA allegedly threatened and pressured her into becoming a suicide bomber.
The arrested woman said her cousin forced her to work for the group by threatening to kill her father. She revealed that she was taken to the mountains twice with her eyes covered, where she met armed militants. She also claimed that extremists used examples of other female suicide bombers to influence and mentally prepare her for an attack.
Khair-un-Nisa said she belongs to a poor family and that her father works as a driver. Due to fear for her family’s safety, she remained silent and continued following instructions. Initially, she was asked to deliver mobile phone cards and food to militants.
She further stated that even during her medical treatment in Hub Chowki, she continued receiving instructions related to the planned suicide attack. After the arrest of her cousin, she became frightened and destroyed her mobile phone.
The suspect said police treated her respectfully after taking her into custody and moved her to a secure location. She added that she never wanted to carry out a suicide attack and was pushed into extremism through threats and blackmail.
Khair-un-Nisa shared that her dream is to become a doctor or a teacher and that she only wants to continue her education. She expressed gratitude that she was saved before carrying out the attack.
In her message to other women, she appealed to them not to support militant organizations, saying such paths only lead to destruction and suffering.
