Host and activist Anoushey Ashraf has voiced strong criticism of exiled Iranian prince and leadership hopeful Reza Pahlavi, highlighting the need for genuine self-determination for the people of Iran rather than policies influenced by external agendas.
Ashraf emphasized that Iranians have an inherent right to determine their own future, but she expressed concern over Pahlavi’s promise to immediately restore relations with Israel if he comes to power, noting that he made no mention of Palestine in his statements.
She argued that such omissions reflect the prince’s true priorities, rather than the interests of the Iranian people.
Commenting on Pahlavi’s proposals, Ashraf said that at the very least he could have acknowledged the Palestinian issue and considered a more balanced approach toward Israel, underscoring the importance of leadership that respects humanitarian principles and regional complexities.

She affirmed that the people of Iran are best placed to judge Pahlavi’s intentions and should decide freely who should lead their nation.
Pahlavi, son of Iran’s former shah, has lived in exile in the United States since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
In recent statements, he has pledged to restore US-Iran relations, normalize ties with Israel, and halt Iran’s nuclear weapons development, while positioning himself as a potential leader amid ongoing protests and calls for regime change.
This discourse highlights the broader importance of respecting the rights and voices of citizens while pursuing leadership that prioritizes justice, fairness, and humanitarian values.
