Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi arrived in Karachi on Friday, beginning a three-day visit to Sindh aimed at engaging with citizens, party workers, and community leaders as part of PTI’s street mobilisation efforts.
He was warmly welcomed at the airport by Sindh Labour Minister Saeed Ghani, who presented him with a traditional Sindhi cap and Ajrak, symbolizing hospitality and cultural respect.
During his visit, Afridi is scheduled to meet with party leadership, business representatives, lawyers, journalists, and civil society members, as well as hold a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
He has also called on citizens to participate in a public gathering at Mazar-i-Quaid on Sunday at 4:30 pm, emphasizing peaceful engagement and democratic participation.
While some allegations emerged about the temporary removal of PTI tents near the party’s Karachi office, officials have assured that arrangements will be restored and gatherings will proceed without obstructing public spaces.
The visit extends to Hyderabad on January 10, where Afridi will engage with local communities, intellectuals, farmers, and journalists, reinforcing the values of dialogue, civic participation, and solidarity.
Through these engagements, the Chief Minister highlights the importance of public involvement, non-violent activism, and collective efforts for social and political awareness.
