Cristiano Ronaldo, football’s first billionaire, continues to make headlines not only for his extraordinary success on the pitch but also for the life he is building beyond it.

According to British media, Ronaldo and his fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, have purchased luxury villas in Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Red Sea project.

The properties are located at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve developed by Red Sea Global, around 26 kilometres off the mainland and accessible only by chartered boat or seaplane.

Designed for absolute privacy, the ultra-luxury development features just 19 exclusive residences, each priced from SAR 15.5 million (approximately £3.1 million), surrounded by untouched natural beauty and offering highly personalized services.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo shared the emotional connection he and Georgina felt with the location.

“From the moment we first visited, Georgina and I felt a connection with the island and its natural beauty it’s a place where we feel at peace,” he said. “Now we have a home here, we can enjoy quality time with family in complete privacy and serenity any time we like.”

Ronaldo’s journey to this point reflects decades of discipline, sacrifice, and relentless ambition.

A Bloomberg report previously revealed that he earned more than $550 million in salary between 2002 and 2023, alongside a long-term Nike endorsement deal worth nearly $18 million annually.

His partnerships with global brands such as Armani and Castrol have added over $175 million to his wealth.

His move to Saudi club Al-Nassr in 2023 further cemented his legacy, making him the highest-paid footballer in history with an annual salary of £177 million ($237.5 million), bonuses, and a reported 15 percent ownership stake in the club.

This places him among a rare group of athlete-billionaires, including Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, and Roger Federer. For comparison, Lionel Messi has earned more than $600 million in pre-tax salary during his illustrious career.

Yet beyond the figures and fame, Ronaldo continues to emphasize family, peace, and purpose.

Despite achieving financial milestones few could ever imagine, he has made it clear that retirement is not on his mind.

His story remains one of perseverance, hard work, and the human desire for belonging — a reminder that even at the highest level of success, finding calm, connection, and time with loved ones matters most.
