Pakistan’s textile exports reach historic $6.4 billion high

Pakistan’s textile industry is celebrating a historic milestone as exports soar to an unprecedented $6.4 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal year.

This surge marks the highest trade volume for the sector during this period, reflecting a strong recovery in global demand.

According to a detailed report by Arif Habib Limited, value-added sectors have been the main drivers behind this impressive growth. Knitwear exports alone reached $1.9 billion, while ready-made garments contributed $1.4 billion, underlining the rising international appetite for Pakistani textile products.

Experts attribute the boost in textile trade to improved global demand and a stable Pakistani rupee, which has helped make the country’s products more competitive in international markets. Analysts believe that this momentum could pave the way for continued growth in the months ahead.

“The increase in exports highlights the strength of Pakistan’s value-added textile sector,” the report noted, emphasizing that ongoing investment in quality and design is paying off.

Industry insiders are optimistic that this record-breaking performance signals a bright future for Pakistan’s textile exports. With consistent demand from key markets and strategic support from policymakers, the sector is poised to maintain its upward trajectory.
