Speaking during a special event celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary, Culkin said he is open to returning but only if the story carries the right emotional depth.

His vision imagines Kevin as an adult, navigating the challenges of life as a widower or divorcee. This time, instead of defending his home from robbers, Kevin faces a more personal battle: reconnecting with his young son, who feels neglected as his father becomes consumed by work.
