Ayushmann Khurrana is basking in the glory of yet another milestone as his latest film, Thamma, crosses the remarkable INR 100 crore mark at the box office a feat long considered a benchmark for success in Bollywood.
The film, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing origin film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), adding another success story to the studio’s growing legacy.
Speaking to Variety, Ayushmann shared his gratitude and joy: “Public validation is the biggest validation for any artiste.
As an origin film, ‘Thamma’ has recorded the best opening of any MHCU movie and is set to be its top-grossing one. I’m very happy and thankful to the audience for their love.”

Alongside Ayushmann and Nawazuddin, the film features Rashmika Mandanna and Paresh Rawal, with Aditya Sarpotdar directing and Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik producing.
