Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to root out terrorism and restore lasting peace, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — a region that has suffered deeply from extremist violence.

Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, he paid tribute to the “brave sons of the soil” who embraced martyrdom for the nation’s security, emphasizing that this fight is not just military but a collective national mission built on unity and resilience.

He revealed that record counterterrorism operations this year have eliminated hundreds of militants, proving the nation’s determination to protect its people.

“Our mission is peace — for every citizen and every corner of Pakistan,” he said.

Lt Gen Chaudhry warned against politicizing the sacrifices of martyrs, stressing the need for unity, justice, and full implementation of the National Action Plan.

“We owe it to our martyrs to build a Pakistan free from fear,” he concluded.
