The Sessions Court in Lahore on Thursday dismissed the bail application of well-known YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, in a case concerning the alleged promotion of online gambling applications.
Additional Sessions Judge Sajida Chaudhry, after hearing arguments from both sides, reserved the verdict earlier this week and announced the decision to reject his bail plea.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered a case against him, alleging that he promoted gambling apps, including Binomo, and may have been involved in related unlawful financial activities.
Saad-ur-Rehman was detained at Lahore Airport on August 17 while attempting to travel abroad.
His name had been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL), preventing him from leaving the country. Following his arrest, he was remanded into NCCIA custody for investigation.
According to the agency, data recovered from his devices include WhatsApp contacts, financial records, and transactions allegedly linked to gambling promotions.
Investigators accuse him of misleading audiences and engaging in suspicious payments.
The case has drawn widespread attention as Ducky Bhai is a prominent figure with a massive youth following.
Observers stress the importance of ensuring that the trial proceeds fairly and transparently, safeguarding both justice and the rights of the accused.
