At least 13 people, including women and children, tragically lost their lives and dozens more sustained serious injuries in two separate road accidents in Balochistan, police and rescue officials confirmed early Thursday.
According to authorities, six passengers were killed and 17 others injured when a passenger coach collided with a truck near Zero Point in Lasbela’s Uthal.
In a separate incident in Hub-Winder, seven people died and 16 were injured after another coach crashed.
Rescue teams rushed to the scenes, battling time to save lives and restore traffic on the national highway.
The injured, including women and children, were shifted to Karachi’s Civil Hospital Trauma Centre for urgent medical care.
These tragedies follow a series of deadly road accidents in the region, often linked to brake failures, overspeeding, and poor road conditions.
The recurring loss of innocent lives underscores the urgent need for safer roads, stricter enforcement of traffic rules, and improved transport safety measures to protect travelers across Pakistan.
