Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled an ambitious and people-centered development package for Murree, focusing on healthcare, transport, tourism, and infrastructure, with the aim of uplifting both residents and visitors of the hill station.

Calling Murree her “second home,” deeply tied to her childhood and family legacy, she emphasized that progress in the region is not just about projects but about improving lives and preserving Murree’s natural beauty.

Inaugurating the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Samli, she shared plans for new hospitals in Bhurban and Kotli, mobile health clinics, and expanded surgical services, ensuring no one has to travel far for urgent treatment.

She also announced eco-friendly transport measures, including a new Rawalpindi–Murree train service, green buses, and electric buses to ease tourist travel while reducing environmental impact.

Further, she outlined water supply schemes, upgraded schools, and a planned wildlife park, vowing to protect Murree’s landscape from illegal construction.

This comprehensive vision reflects a humanitarian commitment to health, accessibility, sustainability, and community well-being.
