Singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has announced plans to pursue legal action against a UK restaurant after it shared a video of him being attacked with eggs during a performance visit in June.

The incident took place on June 19 outside Paratha Stop, a Pakistani restaurant in Blackburn, England, where Khan had been invited to perform.

As he left the venue, two masked men suddenly assaulted him by pelting eggs and striking his head before fleeing the scene.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan revealed that he had initially approached the restaurant for CCTV footage to assist with a possible police complaint, but the management denied having any evidence.

Months later, he expressed anger after the same venue posted a clip of the attack on Instagram, reigniting the painful episode.

In his response, Khan said the management not only misled him but also failed to protect his dignity at a vulnerable time.

He added that he has since been receiving anonymous threatening calls, which he intends to submit as evidence to authorities.

The video sparked widespread condemnation, with artists like Ahmad Ali Butt and Asim Azhar publicly supporting Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and calling the act “disgusting” and “ill-mannered.”

They stressed the need for respect and empathy, regardless of personal opinions about someone’s art.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, while shaken by the incident, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and solidarity he has received from fans and the wider community.

He said his resolve to bring joy through his performances remains unshaken, urging society to rise above cruelty and embrace kindness.
