President Donald Trump voiced strong disapproval of Israel’s strike on Hamas leaders in Qatar, calling it an “unfortunate incident” that he was “very unhappy” about. 

He stressed that the decision was made solely by Prime Minister Netanyahu and warned that bombing inside a sovereign ally like Qatar does not advance U.S. or Israeli interests.

While reaffirming that eliminating Hamas is a worthy goal, Trump emphasized that it should not come at the expense of innocent civilians or trusted partners.

The White House confirmed it was informed by the U.S. military only moments before the attack, while Qatar denied receiving any prior warning, saying communication came during the explosions. 

Hamas reported five members killed but no senior officials. Trump reassured Qatar’s leadership of America’s friendship and directed Secretary of State Marco Rubio to finalize a Defense Cooperation Agreement to strengthen ties. 

In a humanitarian appeal, he urged for the immediate release of hostages, the return of the dead, and an urgent end to the war, stressing that peace must remain the ultimate goal.
