Former cricketer Abdul Razzaq recently addressed long-circulating rumours linking him to Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia, calling her a “good actress” and clarifying that he had met her more than a decade ago at a public event.

His statement came after Tamannaah Bhatia herself dismissed reports of a supposed relationship and marriage with Abdul Razzaq, describing them as “baseless” and, at times, “embarrassing.”

Speaking to reporters in Karachi, Abdul Razzaq explained: “It’s been 12 years since I met her. We only crossed paths at a function.”

When asked if he admired her, he smiled and simply remarked: “All girls look beautiful on camera.”

The speculation stemmed from an old photograph of the two seen together at a jewellery store event, which quickly went viral online and fueled years of unfounded rumours.

Reflecting on the incident, Tamannaah Bhatia said that while the internet can be amusing, such stories can also feel invasive.

She shared with humour: “According to the internet, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq. I’m sorry, sir. You already have a family, and it was so embarrassing.”

This isn’t the first time the actress has been linked to cricketers due to photographs taken out of context.

Back in 2010, a picture with Virat Kohli during a commercial shoot also sparked false relationship rumours, which she later clarified, saying they met only once for work.

Both Abdul Razzaq and Tamannaah Bhatia have now set the record straight, reminding us how quickly misinformation can spread online and affect people’s personal lives.
