Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed strong displeasure over the criticism directed at him regarding the recent Senate ticket distribution issue within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Speaking during a meeting in Peshawar, Gandapur made it clear that he had no role in awarding Senate tickets and stressed that decisions were made strictly on the instructions of party founder Imran Khan. “What is my role in ticket distribution? A drama was created during the Senate election, and I was unfairly criticized. We act only on Khan’s orders, because it is his party,” he remarked.

The chief minister revealed that certain individuals were deliberately preventing him from meeting Imran Khan. According to him, this restriction is harming PTI’s unity and creating rifts within the party. “Not allowing me to meet Khan is damaging the party. Those stopping this are not our friends but our enemies, and sadly, they are succeeding because the party is now facing division,” he added.

Gandapur also hit back at those who questioned the authenticity of the Senate candidates’ list released under Khan’s name. “When the names were announced, many people said it was fake and that Khan hadn’t given them. Later, Khan himself confirmed the list. Yet, none of the critics apologized. Nobody had the courage to admit they were wrong,” he said with frustration.

He further criticized those who chose to remain silent after being proven wrong. “The shameless thing is to stay stubborn, say nothing, and never admit mistakes. That is not leadership,” he remarked. Gandapur disclosed that his last meeting with Imran Khan took place on April 2, highlighting how long he has been cut off from direct communication with the PTI founder.
