Pakistan Army Leads Rescue and Relief Operations in Flood-Hit Areas of Punjab

As devastating floods continue to impact various regions of Punjab, the Pakistan Army has launched large-scale rescue and relief operations to assist affected communities.

A total of 6 dedicated rescue teams from the army are actively engaged in operations across flood-hit zones, particularly along the River Sutlej and River Ravi.

According to official sources, army teams are using boats to evacuate residents from inundated areas around Head Sulaimanki and Attari, relocating them to safer locations.

In Kasur district, army personnel are working closely with the civil administration to carry out relief efforts.

Other government departments, including Police, Irrigation, Health, Livestock, Rescue 1122, and Civil Defence, have also joined hands with the Pakistan Army to support the ongoing humanitarian operations.

In collaboration with local authorities, the Pakistan Army has established 21 rescue and relief camps across Kasur district.

So far, approximately 18,000 people along with their livestock have been safely evacuated from affected villages. A main administrative camp has been set up in Mandi Ahmadabad, where displaced families are being provided shelter, food, and medical facilities.

In the area of Ganda Singh Wala, where floodwaters have reached high levels, army teams remain actively engaged in providing relief to stranded populations.

Meanwhile, similar rescue and relief efforts are rapidly progressing in Okara district.

The Pakistan Army continues to remain on the frontline, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens during this natural calamity.
