Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Turbat, Balochistan, on Saturday to review the prevailing security situation and assess ongoing development projects aimed at uplifting the region.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief was given a detailed briefing on security dynamics, the threat perspective, and the progress of operations against “Fitna-ul-Hindustan.” He was also updated on socio-economic initiatives and infrastructure development designed to improve the lives of the people of southern Balochistan.

During his interaction with Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the chief secretary of Balochistan, and other officials, Field Marshal Munir underlined the importance of good governance and people-centric policies. He emphasized that the province’s long-standing issues could only be solved through joint efforts of civil and military institutions, with the voices and needs of locals at the center of decision-making.

“The key to a prosperous Balochistan lies in inclusive growth, strong governance, and a united approach,” he said while encouraging collaboration between provincial authorities and security institutions.

Reiterating his unwavering support, the Chief of Army Staff assured that the Pakistan Army would continue standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Balochistan in their journey toward peace and prosperity.

“The Pakistan Army will always remain committed to the people of Balochistan for their peace, development, and a brighter future,” he added.

The army chief also praised the troops deployed in the province for their professionalism, high morale, and dedication to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty in the face of challenges.

On arrival in Turbat, Field Marshal Munir was warmly received by the Corps Commander Balochistan.
