In the wake of devastating rains and cloudbursts across Pakistan, expressions of grief and pledges of support have begun pouring in from around the world.
While the tragedy has left hundreds dead and caused widespread destruction, messages of hope and solidarity are also reaching the affected communities.
Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan, describing the loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods as deeply saddening. In a statement, the King said, “We stand with all those who have lost their loved ones, homes, and businesses in these catastrophic floods.”
He highlighted the strong ties between families in the UK and Pakistan, noting that British communities with deep connections to the country share in the grief. “We are moved by the resilience of local communities and the courage of volunteers working tirelessly during these dark times,” the King added.
The royal couple also expressed sorrow over the helicopter crash that claimed lives during rescue operations, praising emergency workers, local communities, and volunteers for their bravery. They said they remain prayerful for the recovery and rebuilding of flood-hit regions.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has stepped forward with concrete assistance. The Kingdom dispatched relief goods for flood-affected families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The aid, sent through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, includes 10,000 shelter kits and 10,000 food packages to help communities struggling with displacement and food shortages.
The need for urgent assistance is dire. Just last week, a cloudburst and torrential rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa left more than 350 people dead, with dozens still missing. Billions of rupees worth of infrastructure and private property have been destroyed.
Adding to the crisis, Karachi witnessed its own tragedy today, as powerful rains and flash floods killed at least 15 people. Several vehicles were swept away in overflowing drains, leaving dozens injured.
These back-to-back disasters have underscored the scale of the humanitarian crisis and highlighted the importance of Pakistan floods international support. With messages of empathy from global leaders and aid from allies like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan’s road to recovery may find strength in international solidarity.
