Shah Rukh Khan Injured on ‘King’ Set, Flown to US for Treatment

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, famed for blockbuster hits like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, has sustained a muscular injury on the sets of his upcoming film King.

The actor has been flown to the United States for urgent medical treatment and has been advised to take at least one month’s rest, causing a temporary halt in the film’s production.

Reports suggest Shah Rukh’s injury occurred while performing a high-intensity stunt during filming in Mumbai. Though the exact details are currently confidential, sources describe the injury as muscular in nature and emphasize that it is being treated with seriousness.

A source told Hindustan Times, “It’s believed to be a strain from performing a high-octane stunt. The injury is not life-threatening, but Shah Rukh’s health is the top priority.”

The delay impacts the shooting schedule for King, which was initially slated for July and August. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Shah Rukh alongside his daughter Suhana Khan, as well as Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, and Anil Kapoor.

Production is now expected to resume post-September, once Shah Rukh has sufficiently recovered. “He has been advised to rest and return to work with caution,” the source added.
