In a powerful statement against rising violence, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the Punjab passenger killings in Balochistan to swift justice.

The horrific incident took place in Sardhaka, near Zhob, where armed attackers stopped passenger buses, separated the passengers, and brutally murdered nine individuals travelling to Punjab.

Chairing a high-level law and order meeting in Quetta, CM Bugti was briefed by Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari about the shocking attack. He made it clear that those responsible for such violence would face no leniency.

“Those who murder innocent people will be hunted down to the last man,” Bugti declared, calling the killings an “unforgivable crime” that demands immediate action.

According to the provincial government, the victims—all residents of Punjab—were forcibly taken off their buses, selectively identified, and executed in cold blood. Later, their bodies were handed over to officials at the Balochistan–Punjab border, confirming the targeted nature of the attack.

The Chief Minister has directed all security agencies to ensure that the Punjab passenger killings in Balochistan do not go unpunished. He promised relentless efforts to track down the terrorists and wipe out such threats from the region.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind linked the attack to the Indian-supported militant group Fitna al-Hindustan, which has been responsible for previous civilian massacres in the province. He revealed that security forces had already foiled other terror plots earlier the same day in Mastung, Kalat, and Saradagai, preventing further loss of life.

Rind clarified that although general terror alerts had been issued across the province, there was no specific warning for Sardhaka before the attack occurred.

Security officials believe the attack is part of a rising trend of cross-border terrorism in Balochistan, particularly following Pakistan's recent military success against India. Earlier on Friday, the army’s top brass announced an all-out campaign against Indian-backed proxies operating inside Pakistan.

The gruesome killings have sparked outrage across the country, with citizens and officials demanding that the government take stronger action to protect innocent lives and crush terrorism in all forms.
