In a shocking discovery, the lifeless body of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar was found in her apartment in Karachi’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
According to police officials, the body appeared to be several days old, sparking widespread concern in the entertainment industry and beyond.
DIG South Zone Syed Asad Raza confirmed that Humaira Asghar's decomposed body was recovered from a flat located in Ittehad Commercial, Phase VI of DHA. The unsettling discovery was made when Gizri Police arrived at the residence to vacate the flat on court orders. After receiving no response at around 3:15 p.m., officers broke the lock and entered, only to find the actress dead inside.
Initial investigations suggest that the Karachi apartment death occurred several days prior, though the exact cause of death remains unknown. Police Crime Scene Unit teams were called to collect evidence, and the body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal procedures.
Police Surgeon Dr. Samia Syed reported that the body was badly decomposed, indicating the death had occurred at least two weeks earlier. The preliminary post-mortem examination, however, did not reveal an immediate cause of death.

A police statement later confirmed the victim’s identity as Humaira, daughter of Asghar Ali, aged 32. She was reportedly living alone in the Karachi apartment, where the tragedy unfolded.
Humaira Asghar was best known for her roles in popular TV dramas such as Ehsaan Faramosh and Guru. Apart from her television career, she was an active figure on social media, where she regularly connected with her fans.
As the investigation deepens, authorities are exploring multiple angles, though foul play has yet to be confirmed. The sudden demise of the talented starlet has sent shockwaves through the entertainment community, with fans mourning the loss of a rising talent gone too soon.
