Four Pakistani soldiers, including Lieutenant Daniyal, were martyred as security forces thwarted an infiltration attempt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
In two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seven Khawarij were killed. One of the incidents occurred in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, where militants attacked a security checkpoint. The attempted assault was effectively repelled by Pakistani forces, resulting in the elimination of six Indian-sponsored foreign terrorists.
According to the military’s media wing, Lieutenant Daniyal, along with Naib Subedar Kashif Raza, Lance Naik Fiaqat Ali and Sepoy Muhammad Hameed, embraced martyrdom during the intense exchange of fire.
Separately, in the Chitral district, another Indian-backed militant was killed during a skirmish with security forces.
In light of the possibility of more militants being present in the area, a clearance operation is currently underway.
The ISPR reiterated that security forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism sponsored by India and are resolute in their commitment to safeguarding the nation. The sacrifices of the martyrs, it added, only strengthen the resolve of the armed forces.
Separately, security forces have killed five terrorists belonging to the banned outfit Fitna-ul-Hindustan during two separate operations in Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the first operation, conducted in Loralai based on intelligence reports, four terrorists were killed during a heavy exchange of fire with security personnel. According to ISPR, the terrorists were in possession of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials, all of which were recovered from the site.
The ISPR stated that the slain terrorists were involved in subversive activities carried out on August 26 last year and February 18 2025. These operations were linked to acts of terrorism on National Highway 70 (N-70), where at least 30 civilians lost their lives.
The ISPR confirmed that the deceased terrorists were on the most-wanted list of law enforcement agencies due to their involvement in major terror attacks.
In a second operation in Kech district, security forces neutralised another terrorist associated with the same group.
The ISPR reiterated the security forces’ unwavering resolve to eliminate all elements of “Fitna-e-Hindustan” from Pakistan. It reaffirmed their commitment to bring terrorists and their facilitators to justice through relentless efforts.
