In a powerful address to over 2,500 university students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace — but with a sharp warning to any adversary attempting aggression.
Speaking at a special session organized by a private media outlet, the DG ISPR stated, “We are peace-loving, we prefer peace, and our first choice is always peace — but if provoked again, our response will be far more intense.”
The event turned into a patriotic celebration with chants of "Pakistan Zindabad" and "Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan" echoing throughout the venue. Students waved green crescent flags as national songs filled the air, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and determination.
In a firm tone, General Ahmed Sharif highlighted the military’s swift and precise retaliation against recent Indian provocations. He revealed that when Indian aircraft attacked on May 6 and 7, Pakistan responded by destroying the airbases from where the jets took off. He emphasized, “We did not target any civilian infrastructure, population, or religious sites — because that’s not who we are. We are a peace-loving nation.”
He cited the tragic case of a 7-year-old boy, Irtiza, from Muzaffarabad, who was martyred due to enemy fire. In response, he said, the brigade headquarters responsible for the attack was “completely destroyed.”
The four word keyphrase "peace-loving nation Pakistan" was reiterated as he declared that Pakistan will never initiate hostility, but any act of aggression will be met with resolute force.
General Chaudhry dispelled the myth that the people and the army are disconnected. “People used to believe the army and public are not united — that is absolutely false. This nation and its army are, and will always remain, like a single fist,” he said.
The crowd erupted with slogans as he praised the brave Pashtun youth, saying they’ve delivered a loud and clear message to enemies — Pakistan will never be bullied.
In a bold accusation, the DG ISPR stated that India is behind almost every act of terrorism in Pakistan. Whether it’s the “Fitna Khawarij” or insurgency in Balochistan, he claimed, “the face behind every martyr and every attack is India.”
He also took aim at extremist elements misusing religion, labeling the banned TTP leader Noor Wali as a "foreigner" who has no link with Islam or the proud traditions of the people of KP.
Addressing the regional situation, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif sent a direct appeal to Afghanistan, calling it a brotherly Islamic nation but blaming its elite for taking Indian money to destabilize Pakistan. “Do not become pawns of India,” he warned, urging Afghan authorities not to shelter terrorists within their borders.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s vision, he concluded with a strong message: “That time has come once again — Kashmir will become Pakistan.”
