DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Federal Interior Secretary on Friday presented a strong and comprehensive report of Indian involvement in state-sponsored terrorism within Pakistan.
The briefing covered recent terrorist incidents, regional security issues, and destabilizing activities by India in Balochistan and throughout the country.
During a joint press conference conducted in Islamabad, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif accused India of actively undermining regional peace and stability, stating that New Delhi has been funding and harboring terrorist groups targeting Pakistan for the last two decades.
“Since the inception of Pakistan, India has consistently pursued policies to sow unrest, from the creation of Mukti Bahini to the fall of Dhaka,” he stated.
India's involvement in terrorism exposed
The military spokesperson reiterated that in 2009 and again in 2016, Pakistan submitted irrefutable evidence of Indian interference in Balochistan to the United Nations and the international community. He cited testimonies from arrested terrorists who confessed to receiving Indian support, including training, funding, and weaponry.
He pointed out that the recent attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, which claimed the lives of six children and injured 51 others, had direct Indian backing. “This is the true face of Indian terrorism – targeting innocent children and civilians,” said the DG ISPR.
Citing Kulbhushan Jadhav, a serving Indian Navy officer arrested in Pakistan, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif described him as living proof of India’s state terrorism strategy. He added that the “Fitna-e-Hindustan” network was responsible for a wave of deadly attacks, including:
- April 12: 12 laborers killed
- April 28: 2 workers killed in Kech
- May 9: 7 barbers murdered while asleep
- February 14: 10 civilians martyred
- February 19: 7 passengers attacked in Barkhan
- October 10: Attack on miners in Duki
- February 10, 2025: 2 tailors killed in Kech
- Attack on Jaffar Express train
The DG ISPR revealed that a recent wave of terrorism from May 6–7 claimed 40 innocent lives, prompting the launch of Operation Bunyān Marsūs by Pakistan’s armed forces, which dealt a "decisive blow to the enemies of peace."
Indian media’s role under fire
Lt Gen Sharif criticized the Indian media for celebrating terrorist attacks in Pakistan. He particularly condemned Indian coverage of the Khuzdar school bus attack, calling it “a shameful mockery of humanity and journalistic ethics.”
He played an audio recording allegedly involving an Indian Army officer, Major Sandeep, discussing terror plots and financial support for attacks inside Pakistan. “India is not only arming terrorists with high-tech weapons but is also orchestrating and funding these operations from afar,” he said.
BLA, Fitna-e-Hindustan, and Indian nexus
The DG ISPR highlighted the role of banned outfits like BLA, stating that they act as Indian proxies in Pakistan. He dismissed Indian allegations against Pakistan, especially after the Pahalgam attack, for which India failed to provide any credible evidence despite repeated requests.
He warned that India is attempting to sabotage Pakistan’s socio-economic growth, especially in Balochistan. “From Gwadar Port to the Reqo Diq project, India wants to disrupt our progress,” he asserted.
Balochistan rising: the true face of the province
Highlighting development efforts in Balochistan, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif said:
“While terrorists kill innocent children, youth like Abdul Samad Yar Rind are becoming space scientists. Girls like Ayesha Al-Zahri serve as Deputy Commissioners. This is the real Balochistan.”
He emphasized the success of government initiatives, including:
- 73,000 Baloch students on scholarships
- 13 cadet colleges & 321 technical institutes
- 25,000+ km road network
- Green Pakistan Initiative bringing arable land
- Dialysis centers, hospitals, and oil projects underway
The DG ISPR made a passionate appeal to the international community: “The world must recognize India's true face – that of a terrorist state. Silence encourages impunity. Innocent lives must not be sacrificed at the altar of geopolitics.”
He concluded by affirming Pakistan’s resolve: “The Pakistani armed forces and people will never allow India’s sinister designs to succeed. We will expose and defeat Fitna-e-Hindustan, and we stand united for peace and sovereignty.”
