According to international media reports, Kim has graduated through California's unique Law Office Study Program, a rare alternative to traditional law school available in only four U.S. states. This unconventional path allows aspiring lawyers to study under the mentorship of a practicing attorney rather than attending a formal law school.

Kim began her journey back in 2018, training with a law firm in San Francisco. Though the program typically takes four years, the COVID-19 pandemic and her busy career extended her timeline to six years. Still, she never gave up.
