Imran Khan Urges PTI-Army Unity, Keeps Talk Option Open with Establishment

In a significant development from Adiala Jail, former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has emphasized the need for unity between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Army.

Speaking through his legal team, Khan conveyed that the country's stability depends on mutual understanding and national cohesion.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Chairman PTI, shared details of his meeting with Imran Khan during a media briefing. “Imran Khan has always maintained that Pakistan is his country, and the army is his own. There should be harmony, not conflict,” Gohar said.

Dismissing rumors about any in-house political maneuvering, Barrister Gohar made it clear that PTI is focused on national unity, not backdoor deals. “There is no truth to speculations regarding in-house change. Our priority is the country’s progress and unity,” he added.

Gohar further stated that while Imran Khan has shut the door on dialogue with the current government, he remains open to talks with the establishment. “Imran Khan believes in reconciliation for the country’s betterment, but he refuses to negotiate with a government he deems illegitimate.”

The PTI chief also praised the armed forces for their strong and timely response to recent Indian aggression, noting that the military’s actions have boosted Pakistan’s national pride. “Our armed forces’ resolute reply to India has uplifted the nation’s morale,” said Barrister Gohar.

During today’s meeting, notable legal figures, including Salman Akram Raja, were present. However, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, was once again denied permission to meet him inside the prison, sparking questions over selective visitation rights.
