In a powerful address to students and teachers in Islamabad, Director General ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry declared that Pakistan’s future is not only secure but also bright and full of promise.
His remarks came during an engaging session that aimed to boost morale and reinforce public trust in the armed forces.
Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif began by addressing a long-standing criticism some have voiced over the role of Pakistan’s military. “There were those who used to say that the army doesn’t do its job,” he said. “Today, those same people must be asked—has the army fulfilled its duty or not?”
The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan stands as a beacon of peace and stability in the region, and recent national achievements are a testament to that. “Pakistan’s victory is a victory for peace,” he said, noting the public’s overwhelming support for the armed forces.
Addressing the students directly, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif asked them to reflect on past narratives. “Shouldn’t you now hold accountable those who doubted and disrespected your soldiers and officers?” he asked. “Who were they to speak against the very people defending this nation?”
He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army is a force drawn from the people. “This wall of steel is made up of you, the people of Pakistan. Neither we nor the generations to come will ever step back from defending this nation.”
Touching upon the issue of national security, he accused India of being behind the acts of terrorism taking place in Pakistan. “It’s time to turn this iron wall toward eliminating terrorism. And believe me, when the people and army stand together, no terrorist will remain on this soil.”
In a heartfelt moment during the session, the DG ISPR saluted the educators present and called on students to honor their teachers. “Let us all stand and salute our teachers,” he said, adding, “This is a salute from the Pakistan Army to the educators of this nation.”
