Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their “professional excellence and unwavering resolve” during the recent conflict with India, calling it a moment of pride for the entire nation.
Speaking at his Raiwind residence during a meeting with Senator Irfan Siddiqui, who leads the PML-N in the Senate and chairs the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Nawaz Sharif said the country's defense was not only secured by brave soldiers but also strengthened by a unified voice in Parliament.
“The way our Parliament came together in a time of crisis shows the strength of our democracy. The people’s representatives spoke as one, echoing the emotions of 240 million Pakistanis and boosting the morale of our courageous Armed Forces,” he said.
Senator Siddiqui briefed Nawaz Sharif on the parliamentary party's performance and presented a detailed report on its recent legislative and diplomatic efforts amid rising tensions with India.
Sharif emphasized that national security demands unity beyond political divides. “It's heartening to see every political voice standing together when the nation faces external threats. That unity itself is a victory,” he added.
He also expressed gratitude to the media, stating that Pakistani journalists played a vital role in countering disinformation and promoting the truth on international platforms. “The media stood firm and showcased the facts while fearlessly exposing the enemy's propaganda. They deserve our appreciation,” Sharif noted.
Reflecting on the outcome of the recent military operation, Nawaz Sharif credited divine help for Pakistan's success. “We thank Almighty Allah for granting us victory and guiding us through this test with dignity and honor,” he said.
